AGOV-Allow

In the AGOV-Allow start phase, the AGOV-Login can be used as a BYOI identity together with a CH-LOGIN. The AGOV-Login is therefore effectively a login method for a CH-LOGIN identity.

It is used via the "CH-LOGIN and AGOV" tile, whereby the small AGOV tile is then selected to use the AGOV-Login. When using it for the first time in this phase, there may be a linking process to an existing CH-LOGIN, as the AGOV-Login can only be used as a BYOI in conjunction with a CH-LOGIN.

Differences between AGOV-Login and CH-LOGIN

AGOV dispenses with the outdated login factors of CH-LOGIN such as passwords and SMS mTAN and relies on the highly secure FIDO-based AGOV access App and alternatively on FIDO security keys.

In addition to the federal authorities, AGOV is also available to all other administrative levels in Switzerland (cantons, municipalities, cities); CH-LOGIN was restricted to the federal authorities.
