Release Notes / Customer Information
>>> Merlot 2. April 2023 <<<
Status: Final
The Release Notes (RN) report on the enhancements, as well as new functionalities and changes to the eIAM Services as per the Roadmap DTI. |
Regression testing by eIAM customers
Your cooperation is necessary and very important. In the last releases, we had problems in the higher operating environments (ABN, PROD) only where applications had not carried out their regression tests in advance on REF and/or ABN. These are unnecessary problems which we can avoid together. We count on your support here. It is important that you carry out your regression tests carefully and report any problems to the testing team promptly and in a qualified manner.
Process and expectations for SR introductions
In order to be able to guarantee the stable and secure productive eIAM service, we require meaningful regression tests of the applications in the REF and ABN instances until the SR rollout to PRODUCTION. You have at least 14 days per stage to do this. Please plan your test activities early in these periods so that any bug fix releases are possible in good time.These release notes will help you to plan the regression tests in relation to the eIAM functionalities you use and will also serve as a source of information for your end customer communication. Please note that the final version of the release notes with all necessary details will be delivered shortly before the productive installation.

Improved user guidance in "MyAccount"
With the release "Merlot", user support in "MyAccount", eIAM's self-service portal, is improved. Easy-to-access help is provided to the user, allowing the user to directly access eIAM's documentation in the appropriate context. This help is displayed directly in the user interface by means of the question mark icon. This enables the user to access the documentation for features in "MyAccount" quickly, conveniently and specifically.-

Marking of non-productive operating environments
With the release "Merlot" the user guidance in the non-productive operating environments of eIAM is improved. Users now immediately recognise when they are in a non-productive operating environment by a banner in the top left of the header elements. This is especially helpful when a user uses a link to an application in a non-production operating environment without realising that they are not using production. In this way, support requests can ideally be prevented completely or resolved more quickly. Since it is clear to both the user and the support organisation in which environment the user is operating.-

eIAM 403 error Page
With the release "Merlot" the user guidance is improved in case the user is denied access to a resource by the system (http 403 - Access denied). This error can be the result of various causes. The user is now better guided. So that ideally he can help himself by taking the correct action. This leads to a faster solution for the user and a relief of the support organisation.-
